About the Project
DUALKO aims to strengthen cooperation between higher education institutions and the industry sector in Albania and Kosovo through the development and piloting of Dual Higher Education models, with a particular focus on ICT. he main aim of DUALKO is to improve the employability of graduates by reducing the gap between theoretical academic knowledge and the practical skills required by the labour market.
The project also seeks to reduce student drop-out rates, improve the relevance and quality of learning outcomes, and strengthen cooperation between higher education institutions and industry in Albania and Kosovo.
OBJECTIVES
Analyse the needs and requirements of companies regarding Dual Higher Education.
Develop flexible and generic Dual Higher Education models adapted to Albania and Kosovo.
Develop specific DHE models at participating higher education institutions.
Pilot and evaluate Dual Higher Education models in cooperation with companies.
Develop a toolkit and supporting documentation for the implementation of Dual Higher Education.
Develop an e-learning/CMS platform to support work-based learning environments.
Train industry supervisors in pedagogical and mentoring skills.
Enable students to combine academic learning with practical work-based learning and acquire skills relevant to the labour market.
